Buxser Philanthropy is led by founder and philanthropy advisor, Shana (Bannert) Buxser, who has devoted her career to the philanthropic sector. She coaches charitably minded leaders on their journey to shape a better world. Her background and expertise provide unique insight into giving through the eyes of philanthropists and lens of the non-profit, to provide the most effective counsel.

Shana is a native of Newport Beach, California, earned a BA from Manhattan University in NYC, an MA from CSUF. She has had the opportunity to live and travel around the world.
She currently the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach.
She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy or CAP (specifically trained in financial and estate planning), certified philanthropy advisor through 21/64 Multi-Generation Advisors, a consultant partner at National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP), a certified fundraising professional (CFRE), and earned a certificate for Effective Philanthropy at Stanford Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS).
